Hi friends,
I hope this memo finds y'all well! I am just writing to promote an exciting event coming up next week! The Evelyn Barker Memorial Lecture I mentioned in one of my previous emails will also have a faculty/student, pre-lecture discussion on April 10th! Sean Kelly's paper, From Redemption to Proper Dignity: Being Human in a Technological Age (linked below), will be the focus of the discussion.
If you plan on attending, please sign up here before April 7th, so they can get a good headcount for lunch.
Basic Info:
Pre-Lecture Discussion (with free lunch): 4/10, noon, PAHB 456
AND AS A REMINDER: The actual lecture will be 4/11, from 4-6 pm, in the Library Gallery!! (flyer attached below)
Event Description:
The Philosophy Department will be holding a faculty/student discussion on April 10 at noon in PAHB 456. We will be focusing on a paper by Sean Kelly, who will be giving the Barker Lecture on April 11, 4 - 6 pm, in the Library Gallery. You are welcome to come even if you don't have time to read the paper, or only have time to read part of it, though you will no doubt get more out of the discussion if you've read it.

This will no doubt be a super interesting discussion, and I hope to see some of y'all there!
