PoliSci Council of Majors Luncheon

We hope that you're enjoying the fall semester. We have some exciting news for you this week:
The Political Science Council of Majors will be holding its second Luncheon this Wednesday (10/9) promptly from 12 PM to 12:45 PM. Keeping with tradition, this “Brown-Bag” (bring your own lunch) event will be held in Room 354 of the Public Policy Building.
We are honored to inform you that the guest speaker will be the prestigious Dr. Arthur T. Johnson. Dr. Johnson is a longstanding member of our UMBC Political Science department:
From 1998 - 2008 “he served as UMBC’s Provost, UMBC’s chief academic officer” as well as in various other respected positions within the University System of Maryland and the National League of Cities. His “research fields are public sports policy and public personnel management” in which he has authored several journal articles. He received a "Bachelor of Science degree in Foreign Service from the Edmund A. Walsh School of Foreign Service, Georgetown University; a Master of Arts degree from the Maxwell School of Citizenship and Public Affairs, Syracuse University; and a Ph.D. degree from the State University of New York at Buffalo.”
Invited to an open forum, students may ask any question regarding Dr. Johnson’s extremely successful professional career in the fields of political science and public policy. You are welcome to email any question to pscm@umbc.edu.
