Council of Majors Luncheon TOMORROW - Prof. Roy Meyers

We hope you’re having a great Spring Semester thus far. Here’s some exciting news:
The Political Science Council of Majors will be holding its first luncheon of the semester this Wednesday (2/19)promptly from 12 PM to 12:45 PM. Keeping our tradition alive, this “Brown-Bag” (bring your own lunch) event will be held in Conference Room 354 of the Public Policy Building.
We are pleased to inform you that our guest speaker will be Professor Roy T. Meyers. Professor Meyers is an extremely accomplished, longstanding member of the UMBC community:
After working at the Congressional Budget Office for nine years and receiving his Ph.D. from the University of Michigan, he began teaching at the University of Maryland, Baltimore County in 1990. As the founding director for the Sondheim Public Affairs Scholars Program, Professor Meyers additionally served as a faculty member on the Academic Planning and Budgeting Committee. His interests lie in a broad range of policy and political topics, but his research has focused specifically on the United States’ governmental budget. Professor Meyers has authored a variety of successful publications including numerous books and journal articles. He has traveled abroad to present his scholarly work in Beijing, China and Italy. While currently assisting students in the Governor’s Summer Internship Program, Professor Meyers also supports efforts to improve the Maryland budget process.
