PoliSci Council of Majors Brown-Bag on Wednesday
Hello Everyone!
We hope you’re enjoying your Spring semester. Here’s some exciting news:
The Political Science Council of Majors will be holding a unique luncheon Wednesday (4/16) promptly from 12 PM to 12:45 PM. Keeping our tradition alive, this “Brown-Bag” (bring your own lunch) event will be held in Conference Room 354 of the Public Policy Building.
We are pleased to inform you that our guest speaker will be Ms. Coco Tang. Coco is an extremely accomplished student at UMBC.
Coco is a triple major in Political Science, History, and Visual Arts with minors in International Relations and German. In addition to school, she currently works as an EMT in the Maryland/DC area. Coco speaks five languages and has received several prestigious scholarships including the Fullbright. Her scholarships have given her the opportunity to study languages abroad and to conduct research abroad as well. She has traveled extensively and has visited North Korea, the Philippines, and Germany. After she graduates, Coco will be traveling to Sierra Leone where she will spend her summer on a medical missions trip. She will then be heading to Jordan to fulfill her Fullbright Scholarship. Coco will also be screening the documentary of her work with Syrian refugees at URCAD later this month.
Invited to an open forum, students may ask any question regarding Ms. Tang's extremely successful and exciting research and academic career as well as her travel experiences. You are welcome to email pscm@umbc.edu with your questions in advance.
See you Wednesday,
The Political Science Council of Majors
