UMBC Advanced Planning Clinic:
Free Legal Clinic for Seniors!
Co-sponsored by UMBC Pre-Law Advising and the Sondheim Public Affairs Scholars Program, in partnership with Maryland Legal Aid and the Baltimore County Bar Association (BCBA)
- At this legal clinic, volunteer attorneys, including UMBC alumni, will be paired with UMBC student volunteers to assist local seniors in completing Advance Directive forms.
- An advance directive allows a person to choose who will make health care decisions on their behalf if they are ever unable to do so.
- This is a special opportunity for seniors in Maryland to gain peace of mind by preparing important legal documents.
- They will also get a chance to connect with students and legal professionals across generations — all in a supportive, caring community space!
Date: Monday, October 6, 2024
Time: 3pm to 7pm
Location: Erickson School of Aging Studies at UMBC
5523 Research Park Drive, Suite 230, Catonsville, MD 21228
Note: Although we are targeting seniors to attend the event, there are no minimum age requirements.
