PHIL 240: Introduction to Argumentation and Debate

- This course introduces students to the fundamentals of argumentation and debate.
- Students sharpen their critical thinking skills by learning about the components and logical structures of strong arguments and then hone their argumentation skills by applying this knowledge through participation in in-class structured debates.
- By participating in different debate formats, students learn how to compose well-grounded logical arguments and present those arguments orally.
