This week is dedicated towards electing the next members of the E-Board for the Fall 2023 - Spring 2024 Academic Year. For those who are interested in applying to be a board member, please fill out this Google Form: https://forms.gle/FYbjBzn4dtJFKW8b9 . The current position that are open consist of:
Vice President, Treasurer, Secretary, Vice-President of Student Operations, Events and Volunteer Coordinator
You are able to run for multiple positions. The deadline of the application is at 11:59 P.M. on Saturday, April 29th. Moreover, the voting will be held asynchronously. We will send out a Google Form with all of the candidates running to be elected for you to choose. It is imperative that all members of the society vote in the elections. Below are the responsibilities of each board position.
The Vice President's responsibilities include:
Managing member recruitment/retention
Managing fundraising
Developing and managing projects
Assuming the role of President in the event of the President's absence or incapacity. This is especially important next year because the president will graduate at the end of the Fall 2023 semester
The Treasurer's responsibilities include:
Managing fundraising
Managing the organization's funds and ensuring compliance with all financial rules and guidelines
The Secretary's responsibilities include:
Managing public relations
Recording and archiving information from meetings and activities
The Vice-President of Student Operations' responsibilities include:
Assist the President and Vice President with management of the peer mentorship program
Managing member input, polls and serving as a more direct liaison between the general body and the executive board
The Events and Volunteer Coordinator's responsibilities include:
Organize and assist the President and Vice President with events management
Communicate with local organizations about volunteering and help set up meaningful opportunities for members
