Hello everybody!
I just recieved information about an exciting opportunity for lab experience working with small animals. Dr. Bieberich is looking for some pre-vet students to work in his lab. He is primarily interested in rising-sophmores and rising-juniors, but it's always worth shooting your shot when an opportunity arises!
Here's a quote of some of the skills you will learn: "We need someone to do rodent surgeries, administer hormones and drugs, etc., seems like a suite of skills that a pre vet student might be interested in learning."
Lab experience is a vital part of what vet schools are looking for in applicant expereience. If you're interested in the opportunity, feel free to reach out to Dr. Bieberich at bieberic@umbc.edu. I will also be creating an email list of people who reach out to me today (6/23/21) and sending them later this afternoon. If you would like to be on that list feel free to email me today. Otherwise please contact him to let him know you are interested.
And remember to have a copy of an updated resume and unofficial transcript ready to provide when you recieve a follow up.
Good luck!
