How to Build a Book Lab: Two Learning Opportunities

Here are two upcoming opportunities to learn more about building book labs on campuses.

1) Rare Books School is running a virtual course in January 2025 taught by Matt Kirschenbaum and Kari Kraus (UMCP). Application information can be found here: https://rarebookschool.org/courses/library/l140v/

2) Ryan Cordell (U of Illinois) recently shared a CFP for a May 2025 symposium at UIUC and Skeuomorph Press on building book labs. Read the CFP here. Cordell has also recently written about the Humanities Maker Lab movement. Read more here.
