Wednesday, Feb 7th from 8:00 am - 1:00 pm, Dr. Kalfoglou will be participating in Virtual Advocacy Day for the National Alliance for the Mentally Ill (NAMI-MD). If you'd like to observe state-level advocacy in action, please drop by PUP 204 anytime during the event. It's great when legislators see that students care about advocacy!
It is highly likely that Dr. Kalfoglou will be speaking to a member of the General Assembly at 8:10 am. (Donuts for early birds). She will be advocating in favor of a bill that would require state colleges and universities to reimburse tuition and fees when a student has to withdraw due to extraordinary circumstances (physical or mental illness, injury, or hospitalization).
Other NAMI advocates will be sharing there stories and advocating for specific bills that address mental health issues. Join us!
