Maternal and Child Health Volunteer Opportunity

The Association of Maternal & Child Health Programs (AMCHP) is recruiting volunteers for our 2027 Annual Conference, taking place March 6–9, 2027, at The Westin Washington DC Downtown in Washington, DC. AMCHP’s Annual Conference is one of the largest gatherings of maternal and child health (MCH) professionals in the United States, bringing together state and territorial public health leaders, practitioners, researchers, community partners, students, and emerging professionals.
The conference explores a wide range of topics, including maternal health, early childhood, adolescent health, health equity, disability, and children and youth with special health care needs. We are reaching out to university faculty and program leaders to help connect students with this opportunity to engage with the MCH community.
Selected volunteers will receive complimentary conference registration in exchange for supporting conference activities such as registration, session monitoring, attendee navigation, and general event support. Volunteers should be available for at least one full day between March 5–9, 2027. Please note that AMCHP is unable to provide transportation, lodging, or meals at this time. We also recognize that students may have academic, internship, or professional development requirements. AMCHP is happy to sign off on applicable volunteer or professional development hours and work with volunteers to help them attend a conference session aligned with their interests, learning goals, or areas of study, in addition to fulfilling their volunteer responsibilities.
