I am sure most of you have received the news that our department is changing it's name! We are now the Department of Sociology, Anthropology, and Public Health. I also know that many of you have questions about what that means for you, as a HAPP student. We are still the Health Administration and Policy Program. For some time now we have been exploring the best way to represent our students and faculty. We will still offer the same program, curriculum, and courses to our current and future students, regardless of the name of the major.
Highlighting public health in our department is not only representative of the impact public health has on health administration and health policy, but on other disciplines within and outside our department. The current pandemic illustrates the wide reach of public health in a very tangible way! If and when the program name changes, you will be among the first to know. In the meantime, we are HAPPy to be HAPP!
