On April 14, 2022, yes, on WORLD QUANTUM DAY, Nathan successfully defended his dissertation titled "Quantum engines at the frontiers of physics". It was the unanimous assessment of the committee that Nathan demonstrated full command of theoretical quantum physics, truly outstanding academic performance, and exceptional scholarship.
We, the group, the department, as well as the entire UMBC community are very proud of Dr. Myers and we wish him all the best for his future endeavors.
