Retrievers visiting campus this Saturday will be able to enjoy a scoop of a special UMBC-inspired ice cream -- Muddy Paws. Created by Baltimore ice cream shop The Charmery, Muddy Paws is a chocolate cake ice cream with golden graham bits and black and gold sprinkles.
Current students named the flavor with a contest held during Welcome Week in August. By the looks of the students' faces, the creamy concoction was a hit all around.
The special ice cream will be available to the lucky first 500 takers at the community picnic, which runs from 5-7 p.m. in the House of Grit (across from the Performing Arts & Humanities Building.
