Introducing Benefits Navigation
Meet Rachel! Our Benefit Navigator through the CASH Campaign
Hello, Retrievers!
My name is Rachel Hundertmark, and I am excited to be serving as a Benefit Navigator Fellow at UMBC through the CASH Campaign of Maryland. I know that balancing school, work, and everyday life can be challenging. My goal is to help students access the resources they need so they can focus on their education and succeed both inside and outside the classroom. Through Single Stop, students can complete a free benefits screening to learn if they may qualify for programs and services such as SNAP, health insurance, tax assistance, housing assistance, and other community supports.
I look forward to collaborating with student organizations, campus departments, and the UMBC community to spread awareness about Single Stop and the support it offers. As a junior majoring in Media and Communication Studies at UMBC, I understand firsthand how important it is to make college more affordable and less stressful. So if you see me in class, at a campus event, or at an outreach table, please stop by to say hello, ask questions, or learn more about how Single Stop can help you or someone you know. You can also complete a confidential self-screening to see what resources may be available to you scanning the QR code below or visiting: https://app.singlestop.org/cashmd/main
If you prefer to have assistance completing the screening, please email rhundertmark@cashmd.org or text/call 443-219-7392 to book an appointment with me. I look forward to meeting you this semester and helping make sure every Retriever knows where to turn when they need support!
