LaTeX Submissions to the Review
An important issue for STEM researchers
posted about 11 years ago
Hi, I am the STEM Editor for the UMBC Review. As a science and math major myself, I understand how important it is for STEM students to be able to submit their research papers using LaTeX. Unfortunately, our electronic submission form asks for word files, as they are the only known format compatible with the design team's software.
Do not be discouraged by this. We are currently trying to work out the kinks that are preventing us from accepting .tex files at this time. If you are concerned that this will serve an obstacle in submitting your research paper, please come talk to me. I would hate to see you walk away from an amazing opportunity to publish due to our own technical hiccups, and I am willing to talk with you about your options.
Feel free to email me at dimercurio@umbc.edu and we can set up a time to meet in the UMBC Review office: Academic IV-B, 489. I will also answer any questions that are written in the comments below and would appreciate any suggestions on how to resolve this problem.
