About her:
Ann Jeanette is a first-generation Filipino American and received her master’s degree in applied behavior analysis at the University of Maryland, Baltimore County (UMBC). She completed her master’s capstone under the supervision of feeding expert, Dr. Carrie Borrero, at the Kennedy Krieger Institute. Ann Jeanette has worked clinically in the home, center, and hospital settings, with most of her clinical experience taking place at the pediatric feeding disorders program at the Kennedy Krieger Institute as a primary therapist and trainer. She is currently pursuing her PhD as a first-year student in the applied developmental psychology program at UMBC. Ann Jeanette began presenting research projects at local and national conferences in 2020. While her research interests include treatment of pediatric feeding disorders, training, cultural responsiveness, and language development, Ann Jeanette is focusing her current research on identifying optimal procedures to teach bilingualism to children with autism spectrum disorder under the mentorship of Dr. Mirela Cengher at UMBC.
