Drs. Mirela Cengher and Adithyan Rajaraman are happy to announce that they developed a workshop series titled, “Addressing Matters of Representation Because Representation Matters: Promoting Diversity in Applied Behavior Analysis by Preparing a Diverse Student Body.” The goal of this workshop series is to support undergraduate students who are interested in applying to graduate programs in behavior analysis, but who may feel intimidated or overwhelmed by the daunting process of navigating graduate school applications. They will provide information necessary to make decisions about graduate schools, help participants navigate graduate school applications successfully, and provide networking opportunities. This workshop would be most beneficial for students who belong to underrepresented groups as they hope to provide information on how to be a competitive candidate and further emphasize the importance of diversity and inclusion in a growing field; however, all interested students are welcome to enroll.
This workshop is free for all students. In addition, four randomly selected participants can win one of three $100 gift cards, or a $500 gift card. All participants who complete the workshop will receive a certificate of completion as well.
Please see the flyer attached with more information.
Any questions or concerns can be addressed to Dr. Mirela Cengher at cengher@umbc.edu, or Dr. Adithyan Rajaraman at arajaraman@umbc.edu.
This workshop was funded by an educational grant provided by the Society for the Experimental Analysis in Behavior.
