Building Bridges to End IPV
Addressing Intimate Partner Violence
Friday, October 2, 2015 · 8:30 AM - 12 PM
Off Campus
The University of Maryland School of Social Work (SSW), in partnership with the Maryland Department of Health & Mental Hygiene, presents its first annual symposium to address intimate partner violence as a continuing public health crisis on Oct. 2 from 8:30 a.m. to noon in the SSW Auditorium.
While IPV is seemingly intractable, interventions continue to lack a larger vision or interdisciplinary approaches in practice, research, evaluation and engagement that are collaborative, comprehensive and effectiveness.
The symposium with keynote speaker Jaqueline Campbell, is our shared opportunity to help create a broader vision and build on evidence-based practice.
Morning beverages will be served at 8 a.m. and lunch will be included. The event costs $15 and $25 for CEUs.
