LSAMP collaborates with students studying Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) to create a community and web of support across campus. Throughout the year, LSAMP will host a variety of events to provide opportunities to meet key individuals on campus and skill-building workshops to develop yourself as a strong scientist in your particular field.
On Thursday, November 29th, we will host a session for the LSAMP community to hear from the leaders across campus. Here we will learn about the importance of a strong STEM Identity and how to develop community within your college. Come hear advice from the Deans on how to make the most of your UMBC experience. The session will take place from 4:00 pm - 4:50 pm in Lecture Hall 1.
Panelists:
Dr. William LaCourse, Dean - College of Natural and Mathematical Sciences
Dr. Scott Casper, Dean - College of Arts, Humanities, and Social Sciences
