Involvement Fest is the perfect place to connect with other students over shared interests outside of the classroom. At Involvement Fest on Monday, September 9 (12-2 p.m., Erickson Field, rain location RAC), you can meet and learn more about some of our 270+ student organizations.
Most organizations will share information on how to sign up, or how to join their organizations. If you cannot attend Involvement Fest but would like to get involved with one or more of our student organizations, you can find information on our website.
When considering what organizations are best for you, there are some things to remember as groups try to recruit you. Healthy groups communicate openly and are transparent about their intentions. Unfortunately, some groups may not operate exactly as they present themselves. We call these groups "high pressure organizations." High pressure organizations use recruiting tactics that are deceitful, manipulative, and coercive. They typically are very persistent in their recruiting efforts. These groups look to recruit young people who are vulnerable and in transition, such as college students. To learn more about what to watch out for and some helpful tips, visit our website.
