Hello UMBC students,
Maryland’s 2020 primary election will take place on Tuesday, June 2, 2020. To reduce the risk of spreading COVID-19, voters are strongly encouraged to vote by mail.
A mail ballot will be sent to the address where you are registered in early to mid-May, and must be completed and postmarked by the date of the election to be counted. You do not need to take any action to receive your ballot unless you are no longer staying at that address, in which case you will need to request an absentee ballot. Find more information about the voting process for the primary electionhere. Find information about requesting and completing an absentee ballothere.
If you are not yet registered to vote, or need to change your address, the deadline to do so and vote in Maryland's 2020 primary election is Tuesday, May 12, 2020. Click here to register to vote in Maryland or update your registration.
