Volunteers Needed
Featherbed Lane Elementary School is conducting their annual STEM Fair from 9 am – 12:30 pm on Thursday, April 20, 2017.
Volunteers are needed to serve as judges for ~180 projects that have been submitted by 4th and 5th Graders.
The students are very excited to have Leidos, UMBC, and MSU representatives to come to their school to judge their projects.
Never served as a judge before?
No problem. A brief overview of the judging process and expectations will be provided by the school’s Math and STEM teacher, Ms. Meekins-Boatwright, prior to the start of the event.
We need at least 30 volunteers to ensure that we provide coverage for the judging of student projects which will also include a brief interview with the student.
If you would like to participate in this worthwhile volunteer activity, please send me your name and contact information.
As with past volunteer opportunities, we understand that your availability may be limited. Therefore, if you are able to help out for only an hour so please let us know.
Featherbed Lane Elementary is located at 6700 Richardson Road, not far from Dogwood Road.
Thanks,
Emillio
