You Gotta Live! The Amazing Adventures of Bob Brown
An ORIGINAL MUSICAL COMEDY! Free for UMBC students!
Thursday, May 2, 2019 at 7 PM - Sunday, May 5, 2019 at 12 PM
So... Who's Bob Brown?
Come find out at the world premiere of You Gotta Live! The Amazing Adventures of Bob Brown, a new musical, and a TheatreCOM production, written and produced by UMBC student Sam Saper and directed by UMBC student Maxi Wardcantori.
Just come to the UMBC Fine Arts Recital Hall on:
Thursday, May 2nd at 7PM
Friday, May 3rd at 7PM
Sunday, May 5th at noon.
What is the show?
“You Gotta Live" is a musical comedy about the life and times of Bob Brown, a real-life historical figure active from the 1910s to the 1950s who lived a truly extraordinary life but is almost entirely forgotten. The show explores both his adventures and the goings-on of his friends.
What should I expect?
This show is a comedy, a bright and peppy throwback that twists and turns, subverting expectations and delighting.
This show would be rated PG-13 by the MPAA for brief profanity and some adult themes, but in the author's opinion it's appropriate for six and up.
Where do I get tickets?
The link should go up in the next few days; I'll update this when it does!
Tickets will be FREE for UMBC students, and $12 for everyone else, depending on some internal stuff.
Music, Lyrics, and Book by Sam Saper
Based on the book "The Amazing Adventures of Bob Brown: A Real-life Zelig Who Wrote His Way Through the 20th Century," by Craig Saper
Directed by Maxi Wardcantori, with assistance from Hannah Bashar
