Are you an international graduate student at UMBC? Being an international student is both an exciting and challenging one. It also is common for international students to go through a period of adjustment. Some common issues International Students face include:Difficulty to adjusting to the US or UMBC; Homesickness and loneliness; Culture shock; Managing long distance relationships; Developing new relationships; Stress management;Developing confidence; Prejudice and discrimination; Difficulty finding community and campus resources
Through sharing thoughts, feelings, and concerns in a safe environment, you will gain skills, support and resources from other international student group members and group leaders.
