Dear UMBC Mothers,

     My name is Nimasha Fernando and I am a sophomore at UMBC currently taking Medical Anthropology. For a class assignment, I am hoping to interview a mother about her experience with child birth, with a particular focus on their opinions regarding the medicalization of the birthing process. If you are a mother willing to discuss aspects of your pregnancy and delivery experience, such as your decisions regarding medications and your relationship with physicians, please contact me at nfernan1@umbc.edu.

     I would like to conduct an hour long interview sometime this week, the week of October 6th. Any information you were comfortable sharing would only be disclosed in my class in the context of the assignment, and a pseudo name would be used.
