Come meet film industry professionals and hear how they built their careers in this series of casual conversations facilitated by Professor Emmanuel Keravec. This week's guest is documentary producer Vassili Silovic, who will talk about what it is to be a professional documentary director (and he's doing so many more things!).
This is an in-person event with the guest calling in via video to share insights from their experience on the professional practices of the TV and movie productions and their career path to producing for the industry. These free-hour conversations are open to any interested students. Bring your questions and your friends!

Vassili Silovic is a French writer and director based in Paris. He has directed more than 20 documentaries in various countries. Some of his notable works include Orson Welles: The One-Man Band, which he co-directed with Oja Kodar. He is also known for the 2015 documentary Only New Orleans, which explores the rich cultural heritage of New Orleans. In 2019, he co-directed the television documentary 24H Europe: The Next Generation, offering a 24-hour snapshot of young Europeans across the continent. In addition to his filmmaking, Silovic has been involved with the Less Is More (LIM) European program, which focuses on the development of low-budget films.
