The Arts Education Partnership (AEP) seeks a 2022/23 Student Representative to serve on its advisory council. As part of the Education Commission of the States, AEP maintains the advisory council as a body to provide guidance and advice. The Student Representative will be a full member of the council, serving a one-year term from June 1, 2022 – May 31, 2023.
The Student Representative will commit to:
Attending virtual meetings in June 2022, December 2022, and March 2023, dates TBD.
AEP will provide:
Providing occasional feedback and guidance via email as requested between scheduled meetings.
· Traveling to AEP’s annual convening in Baltimore, MD in September (dependent on local pandemic conditions) to attend the in-person council meeting and two-day convening.
· Up to $2,000 to offset travel expenses to/from Baltimore
· Free registration for annual convening
Candidates should meet the following criteria to be considered:
· Be at least 18 years old
· Be enrolled in an arts administration graduate program (Master’s or PhD) or related fields or a recent (within 1 year) graduate of said program at the time of application
· Have strong interests in arts education issues in arts administration
· Have strong interest in serving AEP’s mission and the advisory council objectives
· Your motivations and interests in serving on AEP’s advisory council
· Examples of related work experience, coursework, or other demonstration of qualification
· The commitment to attend the all virtual and in-person meetings as outlined above
