VITA Volunteer Info Session 2
Thinking about volunteering with UMBC VITA this spring? Come to our second info session. If you missed the one on Oct 22, this is your chance.
VITA volunteers prepare tax returns for real clients on Saturdays, February to April. Preparers and quality reviewers earn an IRS certification. We also need greeters and marketing volunteers. You don't need any tax experience. Training is in January, about 15 hours.
At the session we'll go through what each role does and how the season runs. You'll also hear about the one thing due before winter break: finish Blackboard Module 1 by early December to hold your training seat.
It's something real to put on your résumé, and something to talk about in your next interview.
