Monsido works in partnership with UMBC to support website accessibility campus-wide and is offering this course to provide an overview of accessibility and how it applies to websites. It introduces different types of disabilities, assistive technology, various accessibility laws and describes common accessibility challenges, as well as how to make your department's website more accessible. Register here:
The training is led by an IAAP Certified Professional in Accessibility Core Compentencies (CPAAC) with six-plus years of experience in Web Accessibility, helping a broad range of clients, not just those in higher education. The registration form includes space for questions, and a link will be shared with captioned content.
UMBC and Monsido believe that web accessibility isn't just good business practice - it's the right thing to do.
If you are new to web accessibility at UMBC and how we work with Monsido, take a moment to look over what UMBC shares about via the Web Accessibility link on each UMBC website footer here: https://accessibility.umbc.edu/digital-content-accessibility/website-accessibility-at-umbc/
