On November 11, we celebrate our veterans on-campus, within the extended UMBC community, and beyond. We are taking a moment to go over resources that might be valuable to this community:
For Student Veterans with disabilities - Student Disability Services remains an academic resource for disability-based accommodations. Register online via the SDS link here.
Employee Veterans with disabilities may request work-related accommodations via UMBC's Accessibility and Disability Services - and may begin the process via this brief online form.
Additional resources for supporting the disabled veteran community at home and at work include:
Wounded Warrior and Caregiver Resource Guide -Dept. of Labor, January 2022
Employment Resources for Veterans-Dept. of Labor: Office of Disability Employment Policy
-Employer Assistance and Resource Network on Disability Inclusion (EARN)
