UMBC's annual staff awards are an important way of recognizing the work being done every day by our dedicated exempt and non-exempt staff. That's why we have extended the deadline for nominating colleagues for the following prestigious awards to this Friday, November 3:Further descriptions of individual awards and the eligibility requirements for each, as well as the nomination form and further information, can be found on our 2023 - 24 Staff Awards page, and a listing of previous awardees can be found here.

- University System of Maryland Board of Regents' Staff Awards: recognizing demonstrated excellence in one of five specific areas of work
- UMBC Presidential Distinguished Staff Awards: recognizing exceptional performance, leadership, and/or service
- Jakubik Family Endowment Staff Award for Exempt or Non-Exempt Staff: recognizing contributions toward the success of UMBC students
- Karen L. Wensch Endowment Award for Outstanding Non-Exempt Staff: recognizing excellence across a variety of areas of service
- Teresa Lupinek Endowment Award for Exempt or Non-Exempt Staff: recognizing staff whose work embodies many of the outstanding qualities for which Lupinek and her work were known
Please submit your nominations to Colleen Rebeiro in the Office of the Provost at colleenr@umbc.edu by close of business, Friday, November 3, 2023.
