Dear faculty and staff,
During what we understand may be a challenging time for many members of our community, we are writing to share with you a resource for support that has been created specifically for faculty and staff. The Office of Health Promotion and the Office of Equity and Civil Rights have partnered to bring Rhonda Wells-Wilbon to support our community during this time. Wells-Wilbon is a licensed clinical social worker who specializes in trauma therapy and support with an emphasis on addressing the impacts of sexual assault and misconduct. On each of the next three Wednesdays—April 10, 17, and 24—she will be available to provide guided support for faculty and staff in the Fireside Lounge on the third floor of The Commons.
The Fireside Lounge will serve as a faculty and staff reflection space and will be available from 4 to 5:30 p.m. on April 10, 17, and 24. Beyond the reflection space, Wells-Wilbon and other licensed clinical staff will also be available for individual counseling and support for staff and faculty looking for more one-on-one support. Faculty and staff may also continue to make use of resources available through the Employee Assistance Program.
Sincerely,
David P. Dauwalder, Interim Provost and Senior Vice President for Academic Affairs
Tanyka M. Barber, Vice President for Institutional Equity and Chief Diversity Officer
Renique T. Kersh, Vice President for Student Affairs
