UMBC's annual staff awards are an important way of recognizing the work being done every day by our dedicated exempt and nonexempt staff. Please take a moment to review the information regarding the awards and nominate someone who has been doing an exceptional job in that category. The deadline for nominations is October 31, 2024.
- University System of Maryland Board of Regents' Staff Awards: recognizing demonstrated excellence in one of five specific areas of work
- UMBC Presidential Distinguished Staff Awards: recognizing exceptional performance, leadership, and/or service
- Jakubik Family Endowment Staff Award for Exempt or Nonexempt Staff: recognizing contributions toward the success of UMBC students
- Karen L. Wensch Endowment Award for Outstanding Nonexempt Staff: recognizing excellence across a variety of areas of service
- Teresa Lupinek Endowment Award for Exempt or Nonexempt Staff: recognizing staff whose work embodies many of the outstanding qualities for which Teresa and her work were known

Please submit your nominations to the Department of Human Resources and Strategic Talent Management by close of business, October 31, 2024.
