Dear Students,
UMBC virtual parking permits are now available for all incoming and returning students who do not have an active permit. Students who activated parking permits in the fall do not need to do so again for the spring. Your permit is valid through August 14. We do ask all returning students to visit the UMBC Parking Portal to verify that the vehicles you will be driving to campus are accurately registered.
New students, please go to the UMBC Parking Portal, register your vehicle(s), and activate your virtual permit. Your permit must be activated prior to your arrival on campus. (Note: Please do not sign up for a visitor account; UMBC does not issue parking permits for visitors.)
Please note, registering your vehicle is not the same as getting a permit. Once vehicles are registered, please click on the "Get Permit" button. Parking permits expire every August. You may register up to three vehicles. You may only have one vehicle on campus at a time.
Parking Permit Overview
Student parking permits are assigned as follows:
Zone A (Red): Commuter students
Zone B (Green): Walker Avenue Apartment residents
Zone C (Gold): Residential students
