Maryland-based artist Oletha DeVane (born 1952) has long been a prominent presence in the Baltimore-area art scene, working in all media, including public sculpture. The exhibition catalogue "Oletha DeVane: Spectrum of Light and Spirit" was published in conjunction with Oletha DeVane's first full retrospective at CADVC, which documented her expansive practice, from early paintings to video artworks and interactive sculpture.

(A book cover--the top half of which is an image of a painting with various shades of blue with some gold and silver dots on the left of the painting. In front, white text reads "Oletha DeVane: Spectrum of Light and Spirit." To the left of this painting is a dark border. The bottom of the book cover is a painting with a bright yellow-gold background behind blue flowers and butterfly motifs. In the center of this painting is a sculptural blue heart and a yellow buddha head with flames on both sides. Both the buddha head and the red flames are made from sequins.)
