The Fulbright U.S. Scholar Program,
the largest educational exchange program funded by the U.S. Department
of State, provides opportunities for research, teaching or both in the
social sciences and the arts.
During these hour-long workshops, Dr. Brian Souders, UMBC's Fulbright Scholar Liaison in the Center for Global Engagement, will introduce the Fulbright program to interested faculty, explore ways to create a competitive application, and discuss UMBC internal support throughout the application process. Rachel Brubaker, Associate Director for Research Development at CARAT, will discuss CARAT's support and the application routing process.

This session will feature a panel of arts faculty Fulbright alums including: Corrie Francis Parks - Acting Director, CIRCA / Fulbright Alum (New Zealand 2005, Austria 2023); and Guenet Abraham - Associate Professor, Visual Art / Fulbright Alum (Ethiopia 2017, 2019)
