Samantha Drummond as been selected by the American Society of Administrative Professionals (ASAP) as the Administrative Assistant of the month of December 2024.
Samantha is currently a MDST student pursuing her B.A. in Individualized Study with an academic focus on Business Technology and Administrative Support, and a minor in Information Systems. Samantha is the Executive Administrative Assistant for the Office of Academic and Pre-Professional Advising and the Registrar’s Office at the University of Maryland Baltimore County (UMBC). Samantha is an active member of the Enrollment Management Administrative Assistant’s Workgroup at UMBC. She is also a member of the American Society of Administrative Professionals (ASAP), and a recipient of the PACE certification.
Samantha was nominated by her colleague Ken Baron, PhD, Assistant Vice Provost for Academic Advising and Student Success at UMBC, saying: "She (Samantha) is now closing in on her final semesters of degree completion at UMBC. We are so proud of her achievements and the strategic manner in which she has chosen to complete her degree using foundational principles associated with ASAP as a professional association. Samantha's affiliation with ASAP has provided her with a 'future-facing' skillset and perspective on the scope and nature of her work, along with increased confidence and a sense of purpose associated with her degree."
