Individual Course Withdrawal Deadline - November 2nd
The last day to withdraw from individual courses or change grading methods to Satisfactory/Unsatisfactory is coming up on November 2nd.
Withdrawing counts as an attempt to complete a course. You have two attempts to succesfully complete a course and must petition for a third attempt. Keep in mind if the course you want to withdraw from is a needed pre-requisite or a required course.
Before withdrawing or changing grading methods you should also consider if there may be any impacts to scholarships, financial aid or on-campus housing. This is especially important if withdrawing will bring you below full time (12 credits). Please contact those departments directly for questions.
You can withdraw from classes in the registration section of myUMBC. To learn more about Satisfactory/Unsatisfactory grades and to submit a Help Ticket requesting the change click here: https://registrar.umbc.edu/satisfactory-unsatisfactory-grading-method/
Please consult with your Academic Advisor about your academic options. Your Academic Advisor can be found on your myUMBC profile.
