CARAT is the Creative Achievement and Research Administration Team in the College of Arts, Humanities, and Social Sciences (CAHSS). CARAT assists CAHSS faculty, departments, and centers in all stages of the extramural funding process, from identifying sponsors and developing proposals, to administering awards and reporting. We help ensure that proposals and awards are compliant with UMBC policies and procedures, sponsor guidelines, and Uniform Guidance. With extensive experience in developing and administering awards in the arts, humanities, and social sciences, our team supports faculty in realizing their creative achievement and research project goals.

CARAT is located on the 4th floor of the Public Policy Building.
