UMBC Research Community-
Happy Postdoc Awareness Week! Please give the postdocs in your life some love this week: a gift card, an air hug, a response to that draft they sent a few weeks ago, or other socially distant and appropriate acknowledgement of all the great great work they do. THANK YOU POSTDOCS!
If you/any your research team members are considering applying for a faculty position, we invite you to join PROMISE at any of our upcoming sessions geared toward the academic job market. We are trying to do a mix of in person and virtual sessions (in person sessions have food, please RSVP!). Please spread the word and join us if you can.
- Sept 23rd, 10-11 in Commons 328: CV and Research Statement Workshop (bagels, donuts and coffee provided)
- Sept 24th, 10:30-2:15, virtual Future Faculty Conference for Postdocs, which includes sessions on Developing Collaborations and Interviewing. Note the Keynote "Prioritizing Racial Equity throughout the Faculty Hiring Process" is open to everyone (faculty, students, administrators, etc).
- Sept 29th, 12-1 in Commons 328: Diversity Statement Workshop (lunch is provided)
- October 5th, 1-2pm, virtual: Teaching Philosophy workshop.
Best,
Robin

UMBC was established upon the land of the Piscataway Conoy and Susquehannock peoples. Over time, citizens of many more Indigenous nations have come to reside in this region. We humbly offer our respects to all past, present, and future Indigenous people connected to this place. (what's this? learn more about Baltimore's history here).
