Research
continues to be an increasingly global collaboration. ORCID, which
stands for Open Researcher & Contributor Identifier, is an
international nonprofit organization that provides a unique digital
identifier (an ORCID iD) for researchers and a record of professional
activities. ORCID iDs are free for individuals, and participating
organizations around the globe can collect and use the ORCID iDs of
their affiliated researchers in research administration workflows. A key
benefit to researchers and their institutions is a reduction in
administrative burden while streamlining data collection for reporting,
measuring, and amplifying research impacts.
Join us for this free webinar where
speakers from ORCID, LYRASIS, and University of Arizona will talk about
how ORCID 1) promotes research collaboration, 2) supports open data and
science, and 3) reduces institutional and faculty administrative
burden.
Feel free to invite your university library colleagues or other internal stakeholders at your institution.
All events, groups, organizations, and centers are open for full participation by all individuals regardless of race, color, religion, sex, national origin, or any other protected category under applicable federal law, state law, and the University's nondiscrimination policy.
