The Career-Life Balance Initiative at UMBC serves to provide a repository of career-life balance resources for faculty, staff, postdoctorate fellows, and graduate students. In this myUMBC group, we will showcase policies that raise awareness to career-life balance. Policies will include: parental leave, family and medical leave, family support plans, tenure review extension for new parents, redistribution of duties, and workload modifications. We will also present profiles of people who have used these policies for achieving career-life balance.
