What’s Bloom’s Taxonomy, you’re wondering? No, it’s not a classification system used by gardeners! Bloom’s Taxonomy for Teaching, Learning, and Assessment is a powerful tool that can help you identify learning goals within your course that reflect different levels of cognitive challenge, and then help you to help students achieve them. In this workshop, we’ll walk through some ways to apply Bloom’s Taxonomy to design assignments that will provide students a better learning experience and give you a better picture of what they know and can do. Bring your syllabus, an assignment you’d like to tweak, or a topic in your course you’d like to figure out how to assess better.
