In this workshop, your CNMS Student Success Coach Emma Barnaby will go over how to take notes both before class (while you read your textbooks or complete pre-class assignments) as well as during class. She'll give you top tips on how to create study materials that are actually useful to you after class - remember, re-reading your notes is not a good study technique! And, finally, she will stress the idea of summarizing your notes after every class, with some tips and tricks on how to do this. 

As always, this workshop will take place from 12-1 in The Learning Collaboratory with snacks! But keep in mind that if UMBC is closed due to inclement weather on February 12, we will be holding this workshop in WebEx - link is provided.
