Investigative Biology Labs Poster Session
BIOL 302L, BIOL340L, and BIOL 316L, plus BIOL303

Want to learn more about the upper-level laboratories offered by the Biological Sciences Department? The Spring 2017 Investigative Biology Labs poster session features posters from students’ independent projects from Genetics Lab (BIOL 302L), Developmental Biology Lab (BIOL 340L), and Phage Hunters:Genome Analysis Lab (BIOL 316L).
Students will be describing their projects, including:
- The Investigative Developmental Lab (BIOL340L) will have student-researcher posters that cover a variety topics, including regeneration in planaria.
- Genetics lab (BIOL302L) students will present an experiment they performed throughout the semester, including newly integrated work performed for the Lu Lab.
- The UMBC Phage Hunters (BIOL316L) will be presenting work investigating research on any of six phages they sequenced and annotated this year from three different hosts.
Brand new for 2017 - Students from BIOL303 (Cell Biology) will be joining the sessions, presenting infographic posters on their most intriguing course material from the semester.
The Spring 2017 Poster Sessions are open to the public, and will be held daily from 1:30-3 pm on May 8-11, in front of the Mural on the first floor of the Biological Sciences Building.
