Key into Public Service
A scholarship opportunity from Phi Beta Kappa
The Phi Beta Kappa Society will begin accepting applications for its Key into Public Service Scholarship on November 2nd, 2026. This program highlights opportunities for arts, humanities, natural science, social science, and mathematics majors to pursue rewarding careers in local, state, and federal government.
In recognition of the Society's 250th anniversary, each scholar will receive a $7,600 undergraduate scholarship and will participate in a conference that provides training, mentoring, and reflection on pathways into local, state, and federal government careers.
Applicants do not need to be members of Phi Beta Kappa, but do need to be enrolled in an institution with Phi Beta Kappa status (like UMBC).
See the Key into Public Service program page on the Phi Beta Kappa website for more information about the application and upcoming information session on November 17th!
