COEIT announces associate dean appointments

The College of Engineering and Information Technology at UMBC has announced several key leadership updates.

Karuna Joshi, M.S.’99, Ph.D. ’12, computer science, professor of information systems, continues in her role as the associate dean for faculty affairs.

Marc Olano, associate professor of computer science and electrical engineering, transitions from his previous role as associate dean for student affairs into his new role as associate dean for undergraduate affairs, where he will focus on the success of undergraduate students.

Meanwhile, Sreedevi Sampath, associate professor of information systems, has been appointed as the inaugural associate dean for graduate affairs. 

Finally, Ramana Vinjamuri, associate professor of computer science and electrical engineering has joined the leadership team as the new associate dean for research.
