Each year, the UMBC Alumni Association celebrates UMBC graduates and faculty who have made outstanding contributions to the University, their fields, and their communities. This year, we are pleased to announce that the Alumni Association Board has chosen to honor the following distinguished alumni and faculty. 

This year's nominee for the College of Engineering and Information Technology is Andre Gudger ('99, Information Systems Management). Mr. Gudger is the Director of Small Business Programs, in the Office of the Under Secretary of Defense Acquisition, Technology & Logistics. His career expands over 17 years in the defense, intelligence, and investment banking industries. Mr. Gudger has also worked on key technical and financial initiatives with the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation, Union Bank of Switzerland, and AT&T.
