commonvision is looking for Office Assistants to join our team!
Undergraduate UMBC Students with availability on Tuesdays and Thursdays are preferred.
commonvision is UMBC's Design and Print Center, located in The Commons, Room 309. We are a full service print shop as well as a design and animation studio. Our Office Assistants are responsible for print job order intake and are trained on print and production services. A great job for hands on, creative students who want to learn more about print production and graphic design.
Office Assistants
You do not have to be a visual arts major to apply to this position! This position requires working the front desk, so you will be the face and voice of commonvision.
Applicants Must:
- MUST be available on Tuesdays and Thursdays for at least 3 – 4 hours each day between 9 a.m. – 5 p.m.
- Be highly dedicated & organized
- Have at least 2 semesters left at UMBC
- Have a GPA of 2.5 or higher
- Pass a judicial and OEI check
- Be able to work at least 10 hours a week
We’re looking for students with:
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- A great sense of organization and planning
- A sense of humor
- Ability to work without constant supervision
- Comfort with learning new technology
Bonus points if:
- You have customer service experience
- You have an interest in visual arts, design, and/or animation
- You have an interest or are involved in student events
- You have an interest or experience in photography
- You make us laugh
Your personality is along the lines of:

- Manages time and deadlines well
